The Complex and Frustrating Reality of Recycling Plastic

Hey everyone, please read this article, published by Ecowatch 25 October and see how and where you can reduce your plastic usage. Global consumers now use a million plastic bottles every minute , 91 percent of which are not recycled. Our growing consumption of single-use plastic is evident in the form of ever-expanding landfills, as well as pollution on our sidewalks, along roadways and in natural ecosystems. Plastic that is littered or blown out of waste bins makes its way into storm drains, streams and rivers. Ultimately, up to 8 million metric tons of it enter the world's oceans every year. Scientists aren't sure how long it takes for plastic to fully biodegrade—estimates range from 450 years to never, National Geographic reported in its June issue , which is devoted to the mounting plastic pollution problem. But we know enough to know that the staggering 9.2 billion metric tons of plastic produced since the 1950s isn't going anywhere anytime soon. At this

World clean-up day🌎

Hello everyone, tomorrow is world cleanup day.  I've got a new challenge for everyone. Everyone must try pickup the trash in their road. If everyone cleans up their street we will end up with clean towns / cities. By cleaning our streets you will stop the trash from going into the storm water drains that goes to the rivers and all rivers lead to the ocean. Which is 1 of the reasons we have floating garbage islands.

Vulture Day

Image
On Saturday 1 September I received a reward for writing an essay about why we should take care of vultures. The essay had to be 500 words or more. My teacher only gave me two days to write it and I came second in my school. Please take good care of vultures, because without them there would be dead carcasses all over, flies, diseases and feral dogs. My teacher is part of a very important group of people called the Rotary Club. So everyone, please help the Rotary club as much as you can.

Whale

27 August 2018 Hi everyone, this is a picture of a whale that washed up on the shore of Spain. They cut it open and found out it died of plastic pollution. There's so much rubbish inside of him. He obviously swallowed plastic while trying to catch fish. That is just so sad, poor whale 😪 He could've been having fun now. Please everyone, please stop using so much plastic. Thank you Bye

Hi everyone, this is a plastic bottle filled with plastic. It is extremely strong and you can build houses, chairs and basically anything with it.  It can last up to.400 years which is quite a lot! So please don't throw your plastic away, squeeze it into a bottle until it's very full and hard, when it cant bend. That is then used as a brick.
